Technical Information
Once you confirm that your organization has access to the appropriate low-bandwidth videoconferencing equipment, you must conduct a test call to the National Archives at least 1 week before the event to test the systems' compatibility. If a test call has not been completed 72 hours prior to the event, the event will be considered canceled, and we will contact you to determine if you wish to reschedule.

Description:
You are invited to introduce your staff and students to the power of primary sources through an electronic workshop from the National Archives and Records Administration! Please Note: Due to limited staff resources, requests for professional development sessions will be given priority over requests for student groups. Our workshops are interactive and document-based, available for groups of up to 30 students in grades 5 - 12, designed to last 1 hour, and can be scheduled on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (EST or EDT), and made possible through ISDN or IP-based videoconferencing systems. Your school or sponsoring organization will initiate and fund the call to the National Archives. There are no other charges for the event.
