Description
Vicki Cobb's Science Surprises is a highly entertaining fast-paced interactive show that gets kids excited and enthusiastic about science, reading and poetry. Everyone in the audience experiences illusions and individuals participate in doing iri>resistible challenges from her book We Dare You! Vicki begins by sharing a poem she wrote as a child. She explains how she writes about the real world by experiencing it personally as part of her research. She then leads kids through a number of discoveries about themrselves (illusions) and their family. With the help of the teachers and much interactivity they do an exercise where they actually go through a discovery process thinking as scientists think.

Preparation
Vicki sends the teacher some written material to set up for the program. The teacherand kids should be familiar with the book We Dare You! Hundreds of Fun Science Bets, Challenges and Experiments The book can be ordered ahead of time at a 40% discount from Skyhorse Publishing.
