Description
Sarah Jacobs, choreographer and teacher, will have your students creatively expressing themselves through movement based on their name. Students will learn tools for developing movement through the Elements of Dance, and by the end of the residency will have created their own work, individually and as a large class.

1. Class discussion on elements of dance
2. Work on creating a dance phrase centered around their name.
3. Teach their dance to the class.
4. Create dances with different elements of dance in them
5. Perform pieces for each other

National Standards:

- Students demonstrate accurate memorization and reproduction of movement sequences
